Adults are human being or any other animal that is at complete growth.The biological definition of the term refers to animals that have reached sexual maturity and thus capable of reproduction. Adult is a term applied to human beings to refer to social and legal concepts. Contrary to the term "minor" or "non-adult", a legal-age adult is an individual who is a the age of majority. They are considered responsible, independent and capable. An adult who is legally mature can be described as a major. The age for achieving legal adulthood is 18, although definition may vary by laws, countries and the level of development in psychological terms.

The age of adulthood marks the point in the human lifespan when a person has reached full maturity in terms of both physical and mental growth. Most people think that adulthood begins at age 20 or greater. The middle age begins at about 40 years old before being followed by an old age of about 60. As we grow older, there are three distinct phases early adulthood (18-30 years) middle adulthood (30-60 year olds) and late adulthood (60%-60%). By the time we reach the age of early adulthood (20 to mid-40s), our physical maturation has been completed, however our weight and height could increase a bit. During young adulthood we reach the peak of our physical abilities.
