Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She was credited with launching the modern study of children's memory and eyewitness testimony, as well as using child victims in the court system. Professor Goodman has published widely with numerous grants, and has was awarded numerous national and international honors. She has collaborated with a variety of governments and organizations all over the world to conduct studies and policy issues pertaining to the child victimization of the justice system. She acts as an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a fellow of numerous professional associations, including The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Professor Goodman belongs to the Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been head of three divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development Practice Division and the Society for Child Policy American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
